Celebration – In Living Memory
Life is full of celebrations, both big and small and there has never been a better time to begin a memory box to record those celebrations for posterity.
Unfortunately, growing up in the UK in the 50’s was a pretty austere time and so my own personal memory box is very much internalized; I can remember some events, but the small, maybe to others insignificant, events are sometimes hard to recall.
And so we made sure with our kids that the smallest achievement was celebrated, duly recorded and put in a special place; a memory for the future to be enjoyed not only by the achiever, but also something special to be handed down to their kids and their grandkids.
But isn’t memory such a fickle thing, and childhood (to the children themselves) something that happened, but can’t be recalled that well?
Well we decided to address that issue by creating a platform to store your memories for the future, something you can add to and pass on. This site will provide a storehouse of things past, of events, of anecdotes, of images, of sounds. WE will be ringing somew great features to this site to help you store and share your memories and we have some great ideas for a ‘physical’ Jaystars presence.
Bookmark these pages now and subscribe to our newsletter because we will be bringing some really special items for you to create your own memories with.
And this also leads our thinking on the type of celebratory memento to have to award and record the mini special occasion. Trends and fads come and go so we thought the we would focus on timeless items with that extra-special bit of magic to them, personal and personalised to match the occasion.
As we find more and more meaningful mementoes, we will add them to our collection.
We hope you will like them as much as we do and that they become as significant to you and your personal memories as ours do to us.
